Greek has two words for new. Neos means new in time — recently made. Kainos means new in kind — a different sort of thing altogether.

Paul chose kainos. That is the whole claim, and it is where the brand name came from. Not a better version of the old thing. A different thing.

And it is not something you do to yourself. A few verses on, Paul says God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself. The new creation is his work. Received, not achieved.

This one sits outside the three chapters. It is what they are all pointing at.

A full back print, 10.7 inches wide: NEW CREATION arced above a cross with the verse beneath. The chest carries the KAINOS lockup, small and quiet.
