"I will put this third into the fire, and refine them as one refines silver, and test them as gold is tested."
Zech. 13:9
Zechariah was writing to people who had come home from exile and were rebuilding a city out of rubble. Not to people at their best.
Valley is the low stretch. The one you would not have chosen and cannot see the end of. Waiting on something. Losing something. Holding on when letting go would be easier.
Scripture keeps saying the same thing about that stretch. It is not wasted. Silver is melted so that everything which is not silver rises to the surface and gets taken off. Nothing real is lost in it. What burns away was never silver.
And the verse does not end in the fire. They will call upon my name, and I will answer them. That is what the hard season is for. Not to break you — to bring you close enough to Jesus that your faith is his and not just something you inherited.
That is Valley. The middle chapter, and the hardest one.
The verse runs 13 inches across the back, split by a small cross. The chest carries the KAINOS lockup, small and quiet.

Care
Wash inside out, cold, with like colours. Tumble dry low. Do not iron directly on the print.
Wash this one separately at first. Garment-dyed fabric releases colour over its first several washes. Wash it alone, or with darks only, for the first few — it will transfer onto anything light, including the Dawn tee.
Pressed by hand in Tennessee.
